Rush Lake Trek

  • The Rush Lake trek is one of Pakistan’s most scenic high-altitude adventures, leading trekkers to Rush Lake at about 4,694 meters (15,400 ft), making it one of the world’s highest alpine lakes. The trek starts from Hoper (Hopar) Valley in Nagar and usually takes 4–7 days depending on the itinerary and fitness level. Along the route, trekkers cross glaciers, alpine meadows, and rugged mountain trails while enjoying breathtaking views of peaks like Spantik (Golden Peak), Ultar Sar, Malubiting, and even distant K2 on very clear days. The trek is considered moderate to challenging due to steep ascents and high altitude, so good fitness and acclimatization are important. The best season for the trek is from June to September when the weather is relatively stable and the meadows are green and colorful.
